Here are three quick steps in the morning to feed your family for the day, thanks to Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman, who cooks for four kids, a husband, as well as cowboys, other family, and friends.

  1. Easy Pancakes Any Morning
  2. Prep a Sheet Pan Dinner
  3. Meal Hack for Sloppy Joes, Tacos, Chili, Etc.

Now available on school mornings—pancakes—thanks to Ree Drummond, The Pioneer Woman

Ree’s quick spin on pancakes for the family? Make them all at once by preheating sheet pans already coated with non-stick spray in a hot oven. Carefully pull them out. Pour the plain batter (check her recipe for the correct quantity), then add chocolate chips, blueberries, or sliced strawberries—or have all three in different sections—and back in to bake for 20-25 minutes—gives moms a pocket of time to do other things instead of flipping pancakes. Cut into squares and serve. Everyone eats at once!

Making these pancakes on cold mornings, much to the joy of your family, is not a lot of effort for big smiles.

Try making sheet pancakes in the morning. This easy meal hack will save you so much time, and your family will beg you for more!

For moms, dads, or older children cooking dinner, here is a great meal hack from Ree Drummond:

Make sheet pan dinners—prep items in the morning (mostly chopping); everything will be cooked on the same sheet pan that night. Preheat oven and pop delicious sheet pan dinner in to cook.

Ree shares many recipes. Less mess and everything is ready to cook and then serve at the same time.

The Pioneer Woman Cooks–Dinner’s Ready! is one of my go-to cookbooks. Her recipes are easy and adaptable.

Also, Ree notes that when you are browning ground beef, brown an extra batch plain, drain out grease, and cool. Then you can freeze it in a freezer bag, lying it flat so takes up less space.

Put the bag of ground beef in the fridge in the morning (or the night before) to defrost so you can make Sloppy Joes, chili, tacos, spaghetti or lasagna meat sauce, etc., for dinner.

Enjoy!
